Meet the founder
I’m Neha. I have a graduate degree in psychology and learning science from Harvard, and I built the first version of Hopscotch for my own daughter — because nothing we tried fit. The apps were too stimulating, the workbooks bored her. I wanted her to follow her own curiosity instead of someone else’s curriculum.
She’s six now, working through whole books, and reaching for a book on her own is still my favorite thing to watch. Now we’re bringing that same experience to a small group of founding families, built around their own child, book by book.

A few short game sessions, whenever works for your family. Each session is a bit of play before you open the book, and that play is the literacy practice. Then you read the book together, which is time you’d want with them anyway. The weekly check-in is a two-minute text.
No. Every game works printed or on a calm digital screen. Pick whichever fits your evening.
It doesn’t have to be any. Every game can be printed and played at the table. The digital version is deliberately calm, and either way, every session ends off-screen: a real book, read together.
